Eddy Stevens was born in Brasschaat, Belgium, in 1965. He studied at Sint-Niklaas Art Academy and underwent further training with Guy Wauters and Sonja Rosalia Bauters. He now lives and works in Antwerp. He has exhibited his work in Belgium, the Netherlands, Germany, Malta, and the United States.
His principal subject is the female form, which he composes in dreamlike states against surreal landscapes and abstract backgrounds. His work has been described as a fascinating dream world, sharing something in common with legends and myths of the ancient poets.
