The Angela King | Gallery

Welcome to our new and improved website!

Angela King has been active in the art world for thirty-two years on Royal Street in New Orleans. In those years she has represented over one hundred and fifty artists, plus a hundred more in juried group shows. She has hosted over one hundred and seventy-five solo exhibitions, twenty-five juried group shows for students, emerging and professional artists, fifty fundraisers, and numerous private functions for community interests.

In September 2006, a year after the big flood, Angela opened a new, beautiful space on the corner of Royal and Bienville streets. The first three years brought the grand opening exhibition with eighteen artists in attendance and a sit-down dinner for fifty in the beautiful one hundred and fifty year old Italian marble-floored gallery. Since then we have held fifteen exhibitions, two auctions, four fundraisers and two meet-the-artist-in-residence experiences.

We're beginning our fourth year at 241 Royal, our space is stunning, and it keeps getting better..

In 2009 we opened our studio space on the second floor which created an additional two thousand square feet of exhibition space in addition to an artist studio, where we have artists scheduled to stay and work for extended periods.

As you can see, we are constantly presenting new, interesting and stimulating art and events to the New Orleans and its visitors. Our goal is to bring the finest art and the most memorable experiences to all of our visitors and collectors.

We are making the gallery a welcoming place to meet the artists, learn about art, see it being created, and acquire it. We are changing the collector experience, and we would love for you to come along with us.

Thank you for being here, for without you -- the viewer, collector, participant -- the circle of creativity would not keep moving.
